My story
For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to help people improve the way they work and learn and overcome challenges that hold them back.
I helped younger children to read when I was at Primary School and led local youth programmes as a teenager. My continued interest in human behaviour and potential led me to a Psychology degree and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education.
During my twelve years as a Primary School Teacher and Senior Management Team member, I facilitated coaching, training and professional development for staff teams.
As a Performance Manager, I worked extensively on identifying goals and targets for staff and pupil performance and worked strategically to implement these across schools.
During my ‘Outreach’ role as a specialist Teacher of children with Special Educational Needs, I delivered training and shared expertise with families and staff in primary schools across Brighton and Hove.
I took a career break to focus on being a Mum to my two daughters but when the time came to return to work, I faced a career crossroads.
I wanted to utilise the skills and experience gained from my teaching career and continue to help others overcome challenges and achieve success.
I knew I had found the perfect fit when I retrained in coaching and it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made!
I achieved an accredited Diploma in Performance Coaching and NLP, after which I proudly set up my own coaching business – Heads-up Coaching.
Having started and scaled a business, I know how overwhelming, exciting and lonely it can be (often all at the same time!) There’s always so much to do and never enough hours in the day.
I help businesses and teams gain clarity and find focus on their next steps across a wide range of business development areas.
I help to develop your skills and tools to work ON your business, so you can do what you do best and grow a business which thrives.
I look forward to helping your business to thrive.
